This project was done during my final year of study.
I modernised the whole identity of this museum. The museum is a hospital founded in 1242 and transformed into a museum in the 1980s.
The whole identity is based on the line, the light and the night. The line is for the lights that the city has placed in the street and that point towards the museum at night. The night is for the nocturnes organised by the museum. During these, actors are dressed in costume to plunge us into the past.
The logo takes up the name "Rose". It represents the line and also the hand of the nuns who support the sick. The graphic elements follow the logo's guiding line. They are directly inspired by the elements of the museum. The illustrations also follow the line and are inspired by important figures.
The colours are the opposite colours of the building. I chose them to bring out the impressions in the museum.
The whole thing is based on night. One of the posters is made with phosphorescent ink so that it can be seen at night. Some of the prints are on black paper or black forex to evoke the night.
The aim was to modernise the identity while retaining its value of protection and sharing. I tried to reach out to a new target to increase the audience.
